Recently completed: Custom-Inscribed Textile Set to Celebrate a Special Birthday

To mark a significant birthday, Aura was commissioned by the Old English Vestment Company (tOEVC) to create a custom-inscribed textile set for its client, Grace United Methodist Church Baltimore. This heartfelt gift from relatives of a cherished church member for their 90th birthday included a pulpit fall, superfrontal, and bible markers, each thoughtfully designed to reflect both the occasion and the beauty of the church’s interior.

Materials and Designs

Designed by OEVC, the set features luxurious blue St. Aidan brocade, elegantly complemented by blue and gold Wakefield brocatelle orphreys. A beautifully machine-embroidered Celtic cross serves as the focal point on each piece, adding a timeless, intricate detail to the design.

Personalisation and Inscription

With a personalised inscription in gold lurex on the superfrontal, adding a meaningful touch to the set and making it a unique commemorative gift.

Handcrafted Excellence

Designed by tOEVC and handcrafted with care by Aura’s skilled artisans in Exeter, the completed set was shipped to the USA, where it now graces the recipient’s church as a lasting tribute.
