Size Guide - Cummerbunds
To ensure the correct fit for your cummerbund, measurements should be taken at the natural waist whilst wearing the dress shirt and trousers intended to be worn with the garment.
Our cummerbunds are handmade to order and designed to provide a clean, formal appearance with a comfortable adjustable fit.
How to Measure
- Locate the Correct Position
The cummerbund should sit at the natural waist, generally positioned around the
navel, rather than lower on the hips where casual trousers are commonly worn.
- Wear the Correct Clothing
For the most accurate measurement, wear your dress shirt and formal trousers. Any garments you intend to wear with the cummerbund This ensures the finished garment sits correctly once worn.
- Take the Measurement
Using a soft measuring tape:
Measure around the circumference of your natural waist
Keep the tape firm but comfortable
Do not pull excessively tight
Stand naturally and breathe normally
Do not suck in your stomach
Record the waist measurement in inches.
- Adjustment Allowance
Our cummerbunds are designed with an adjustable fastening system and generally allow approximately 1" – 1.5" adjustment range. This provides flexibility whilst maintaining a clean appearance.
